Hydratherma Naturals Collection: Review
So I had heard a lot about hydratherma naturals products and I saw the owner on youtube videos and her natural is on POINT! So I couldn't wait to try these products. So I was very ambitious and ordered the entire collection cost about $80.
When it arrived I was ready (especially since I spent so much cash)..
#1 I felt duped when I read the ingredients.....they were not all natural. The shampoo has SLS in it, can you say disappointment! Although, we weren't starting out on the right foot. I tried the products anyway.
There are two shampoos: you use 1 for the first wash and follow with the second.
1. Herbal/Amino Clarying shampoo
2. Moisture Boosting Shampoo
They both smell really good, clarifying like coconut and moisture smells like citrus. My hair felt a little to clean and dry after the first wash and the second didn't put the moisture back.
There are two conditioners that are to be alternated every week:
1. Amino Plus Protein Deep Conditioning Treatment
2. Moisture Boosting Deep Conditioning Treatment
I tried the the Amino Plus Protein Deep Conditioning Treatement first. It also had a good coconut smell but I didn't feel like it provided me with enough slip. Next week, I tried the Moisture Boosting Conditioning Treatment. It had a citrus smell and I did prefer this one. My hair did feel pretty moist and smelled good.
After conditioning I followed with the
Protein Balance Leave-in conditioner
I liked this it was light, smelled like vanilla (bonus!) my hair felt strong.
Then I used the
Daily Moisturizing Growth Lotion
It has a vanilla scent as well and left my hair feeling moisturized. It is a little heavy and better suited for winter months.
Finally I sealed with the
Hair Growth Oil (LAST ONE! WHEW!)
The oil was really nice. It had a great smell and it was a mixture of a lot of oils that I already use like castor, olive and jojoba. It also includes emu oil which I heard is stellar for growth....however it is one of the last ingredients so who knows how much emu got in.
On S.C.D. scale I give it ~ ~ out of 5 curlies.
The products smelled really good and I liked the leave-in and the oil. However, for the price I could make the oil mix myself. Also I can buy shampoo from walmart for less that will accomplish the same task and have the same ingrediants.
